1/31/2024 0 Comments Apple notes vs evernote![]() When you revisit a webpage with a previously created Quick Note, you’ll note a tappable arrow in the bottom right corner of the webpage. Where the differences lie are in the post-creation phase. ![]() ![]() And these Quick Notes are stored inside a “smart folder” of Quick Notes in Notes. Quick Notes also include the highlighted text and URL if you add a Quick Note from Safari. A Quick Note can be created from any sharing menu in iOS 16. With iOS 16, Quick Note comes to the iPhone, albeit with a few differences. On iPad, Quick Notes would fly in from the side of the display and sit over top your on-screen view, allowing you to quickly drag and drop items from a Safari webpage into your Quick Note or capture quotes by highlighting text in an app. Quick Notes on iPhoneįar and away, the most exciting feature to debut in iPadOS 15 last year was Quick Notes. Here’s a roundup of iOS 16’s latest features for Notes, and a quick look at what we’re going to see in iPadOS 16’s Notes soon. Notes saw a big leap forward in iPadOS 15 and, with iOS 16, we’re seeing some of those key features filter down to the iPhone as well. Or there are those who started in Notes, tried every other note-taking app available, and ultimately ended up back in Notes after all the experimentation (remember the Uber-popular “Jedi” meme that went around?).įortunately, Apple’s built-in Notes app continues to improve each year, with new useful features for capturing moments of brilliance or small bits of ephemera along the way. We probably all find ourselves in this spot from time to time, wishing for something new and exciting to boost our note-taking productivity and unlock fresh new ideas. Yet, somehow, some folks get caught out in the rain with no note-taking app to be found. Obsidian, Roam Research, Bear, Agenda, NotePlan, Notability, GoodNotes, Evernote, SimpleNote - take your pick. From gardeners and librarians to quick jotters or artists, there’s likely to be a note-taking app for you. I’ll stay here and wait - you might be awhile. Quick: Think of all the note-taking apps you’ve read about, tried, or heard about in the last 12 months.

1/31/2024 0 Comments Wavebox softpedia![]() There was definitely a bit of a learning curve at first. ![]() It's just so robust AND it doesn't slow my computer down. And I don't know that I've even used every single feature yet. I love Smart Notes, its split-screen capability, it works with Chrome extensions. It works well with every single app/platform/tool I use. From simple things like colors and icons to the big stuff like the actual layout of the entire workspace. I absolutely love how customizable it is. Wavebox really does what it says - makes me more organized, less overwhelmed, and more productive. I'm less likely to get distracted so I can stay on task and be more productive with my work hours. I don't have to worry about mixing anything up. It's been so helpful having each client, my own business, and my personal stuff all separated nicely. ![]() I work with clients on a monthly retainer basis and have tons of applications, platforms, and accounts to log in to each day. Wavebox really does make my day-to-day work so much better. It's not so much about the price-value proposition, but more about the general stigma there is about paying for a browser. I hate to sound like a fanboy, but it's hard to come up with cons.If I wanted to be nitpicky, the only con I see is that it's hard to get my colleagues to use it because they are used to browsers being free, but, like I said in the pros section, you get your money's worth, and everyone's usually impressed when I share my screen and asks me what browser I'm using. ![]() Wavebox is one of those products that is just perfect the way it is, but they still manage to come up with stuff that you didn't know you needed. I don't think there's much missing, or even something to be improved. Two interactions in 3+ years speaks for itself in terms of the quality of the product.I cannot say I like something the most, because I love all of it. I had two interactions with support in the 3+ years I've used it, and it not only was extremely pleasant and friendly to communicate with the team, but my issues were immediately addressed and fixed. They fix things all the time, and if you experience a problem and report it, you're pretty much guaranteed to have it fixed in a couple of days. And they keep coming up with amazing features all the time!- Expanding on the topic of adding features, they added a GPT client mere weeks after the explosion of ChatGPT, and it's extremely powerful.- Their support is out of this world. Your run of the mill browsers might have cool features, but you will not find something as full of value as Wavebox. It doesn't force its features down your throat, but you'll find yourself using more and more of them as you slowly and unwittingly become a power user.- You think other browsers can organize tabs and cookie sessions for you? Try Wavebox and you'll realize how far behind regular browsers are.- "Why would I pay for a browser?", you might ask. Wavebox is extremely easy to use, but it can be as complex as you need it to be. A good indication that you need Wavebox is if you look up right now and there are so many tabs open that you can't even read the titles.Trust me on this one, you have nothing to lose. Especially if you use your browser heavily for work or just in general. Do the free trial and experience it for yourself. If you're on the fence about Wavebox, trust this stranger on the internet: give it a try. There's just no going back to Chrome or Edge or Safari. It's not just a browser, it's a hub for all your activities online. To me, Wavebox completely changed everything I knew about browsers. 1/31/2024 0 Comments Signmypad app![]() We fired it up on our Galaxy S II, only to realize that we should've started within Gmail. The app itself couldn't be simpler to operate. Still, it's an alarming figure, and it makes us all the more thankful for a non-Pro version. There's also an exceedingly small market for an app that pricey, but the company told us that they expect a single purchase to cover an entire employee base. That feature alone is fairly unique, and while the usefulness may be limited, those who need it are bound to appreciate it. The basic SignMyPad is $3.99, while the Pro edition rings up at $99.99 the latter adds GPS tagging to your PDFs, meaning that any time you sign a document, the GPS location where you signed it is saved to the metadata of the file. Care to hear more? Head on past the break. ![]() The NYC-based app startup has just introduced the most notable rival yet to EasySign, and while SignMyPad is hardly the only one of its kind, it's one of the few that's compatible with both iOS and Android, and offers more than just a signature stamp. We're told that some businesspeople rank the whole ordeal up there with root canals and meeting the in-laws, but thanks to the wonders of mobile telephony (and more specifically, mobile computing), the tried-and-failed process can be one of the past. It's hard enough to do in ideal circumstances, but try filling out an emailed document and returning it whilst on the road or during vacation. If you've found yourself caught up in the rat race, you know all too well the process: receive PDF, print PDF, collect PDF, reprint PDF from a printer with ink in it, recollect PDF, fill out PDF, scan PDF, resize PDF, take a restroom break, and finally - struggle with your company's lackluster internet connection in a bid to send the dreaded thing back. 1/31/2024 0 Comments Todoist google calendarPlanner + Bi-directional sync + Unlimited Routines

1/31/2024 0 Comments Should i upgrade to macos montereyExcept it's not getting an app, just a web view. There are two pieces of big news around FaceTime video calls in macOS 12 Monterey and Apple's other platforms, starting with the fact that it's coming to Android and Windows. macOS 12 review: FaceTime upgrades galore For example, texting my friend Caitlin (who is also testing these betas), I saw her Focus in Messages and had to click "Notify Anyways" to try and get her attention. Worried about missing a message? Focuses show others the status you have up, and in FaceTime they'll even let people have the option to break through your Focus filters if it's important. Each lets you pick a list of people and apps that you will let disturb your peace. There's also a new set of do not disturb modes that you yourself can customize, called Focuses. There's also an Activity tracking section for shared notes, much like Google Docs. Notes also now lets you organize your notes by using hashtag-tagged terms, so every note I have with #reviews in it is easily collected for future searching. I've used it for trying to make sense about the new and differentiated recommendations about face masks and social distancing from the WHO and CDC. My favorite is Quick Notes, which allows you to write notes while using other applications on the iPad, and can easily add links and quoted text from Safari to. Notes is also getting super-charged with two new features seen in iOS and iPadOS. Just look for the Shared With You section, as it's an easy way to find that thing someone sent that you can't find, or to take a trip down memory lane in photos. To see your cursor become a text select tool when you move it over text in an image is a sight to see.Īlso, images and links that you've been sent by others will now have their own sections in Photos, Safari, Apple News and other applications. For example, I could highlight text on a shirt I own that I took a photo of, or the nutrition label from a bottle. This is Apple's AI magic at work, and it just works. ![]() In Photos and Preview, among other apps, you can now select text from images, just as if you were using a document or PDF. ![]() My favorite, without a doubt, is Live Text. MacOS 12 review: New features found on iOS 15 and iPadOS 15Īpple's rolling out a lot of new features across multiple operating system updates due out this fall, so macOS 12 Monterey gets to be just like iOS 15 and iPadOS 15 in a few ways. macOS 12 review: Compatibility and supported devicesĪpple's full list of approved and supported Macs for macOS 12 is below. That gives you the opportunity to see if other folks are running into trouble with this update. That said, bugs are inevitable, so if you're worried about a new software update slowing down your workflow, it doesn't hurt to wait until you've heard that the apps you love run on macOS 12 before you download. It's only world PvP in the sense that it takes place in non-instanced space. it's supposed to be spontaneous, IMO, and this seems to make it just a different sort of grind. Only time will tell, eh?Īll that being said, having a zone dedicated to world PvP kind of goes against the essence of world PvP to begin with. That would suck pretty badly on heavily populated or poorly balanced servers, but it might be the only real way to keep it balanced. I think this type of zone is a great idea to introduce a sort of world PvP to the game, but I can picture them implementing a queue system of some sort on being able to enter the zone. World PvP has been sorely lacking in WoW since it's inception, with the new PvP daily quests in Outland being, at best, symbolic. Seems to me that they're going to great lengths to make sure this place stays balanced. If that attacking force fails to capture the final objective before the next rotation, that faction will be given more resources (unknown to what those might be for now)" to balance out the fight, and give every faction a chance to hold Lake Wintergrasp. These quests include (but are not limited to): quests where you have to ride a mount with an NPC, holding attackers at bay flying aircraft quests flying mount quests where you have to lower ropes to evacuate NPCs in these quests, mounts can hold multiple players!īefore capturing the keep, the walls must be destroyed by weapons Lake Wintergrasp will feature a variety of new daily quests. ![]() If the attacking force succeeds in capturing the keep/mine, that faction will defend it during the next rotation. Both sides will fight over towers and siege workshops scattered around the zone. Lake Wintergrasp is WoW's first non-battleground zone solely devoted to PvP action.Īccording to a fixed, rolling schedule, one faction will defend the keep/mine, and the other faction will assault it. ![]() (That is, you will be marked for PvP upon entering) The zone will always be PvP even on PvE realms. There is (supposed) to be siege weapons and a "spirit shard" like token exchange system for PvP gear. Comment by LeNoirThis is the oft-mentioned full PvP zone. 1/31/2024 0 Comments Creative resume maker online freeNow you must be wondering what is a Resume and how to build a powerful resume for free in an online resume builder?Ī resume builds a gap between you and your blooming future. The album understandably garnered a resurgence of recognition after the death of Staley, with many media outlets – even those who had given the album initially scathing reviews – praising the power of performance despite his condition at the time. His once glowing, cheeky grin is replaced by a morose, pained half-smile, but nevertheless, his sense of humour is still prevalent and he immediately belts out Nutshell and continues to give a strong vocal performance throughout – a testament to his sheer natural talent. Sunglasses disguise his blackened eyes, long sleeves cover scars left behind from shooting up and he awkwardly clutches his hands together as if afraid to emerge from the shadows and take centre stage – quite different from the powerful vocalist we'd come to know and love. The original performance is therefore a chilling look at the tragic downfall of one of rock's most charismatic and enigmatic frontmen from glam rock loving metal star to the epitome of grunge – in the most negative sense of the word: a bedraggled junkie with scruffy pink hair awkwardly shuffles from the back of the stage and takes his seat. ![]() Staley overdosed following their concert in Kansas City on July 3 (opens in new tab) and despite the frontman recovering from the incident AIC were put on hiatus, and other than one brief recording two years later, where the band briefly reunited to record the songs Get Born Again and Died for Music Bank, Alice in Chains never played with Staley again. His final ever performance was in the same year, when Alice in Chains replaced Stone Temple Pilots in an opening slot for the newly reunited Kiss. Alice in Chains Unplugged marked the second to last performance from Staley, who was battling a crippling addiction to heroin (opens in new tab) that was poignantly chronicled through the band's dark and agonising lyrics. 1/31/2024 0 Comments Time zones mst![]() Hence this could happen in 2013.Ī deputy minister said the idea has been abandoned after missed two target dates: 17 August (Independence day) and 28 October 2012 ( Youth Pledge day) The Indonesian Economic Development Committee (KP3EI) cited that they will need at least 3 months to communicate and plan for the change.
